guān zì zài pú sà 。

　　观 自 在 菩 萨 。（译文：观音菩萨）

　　xíng shēn bō rě bō luó mì duō shí 。

　　行 深 般 若 波 罗 蜜 多 时 。（译文：深入的修行圆满时。般 若，像波浪一样。波 罗 蜜 多，究竟圆满。）

　　zhào jiàn wǔ yùn jiē kōng 。

　　照 见 五 蕴 皆 空。（译文：看到五蕴：形相、情欲、意念、行为、心灵，都是空的）

　　dù yī qiē kǔ è 。

　　度 一 切 苦 厄 。（译文：就将一切苦难置之度外）

　　shě lì zǐ 。

　　舍 利 子。（译文：菩萨对学生舍利子说）

　　sè bù yì kōng 。

　　色 不 异 空。（译文：形相不异乎空间）

　　kōng bù yì sè 。

　　空 不 异 色 。（译文：空间不异乎形相）

　　sè jí shì kōng。

　　色 即 是 空。（译文：所以形相等于空间）

　　kōng jí shì sè 。

　　空 即 是 色。（译文：空间等于形相）

　　shòu xiǎng xíng shí 。

　　受 想 行 识。（译文：情欲、意念、行为、心灵）

　　yì fù rú shì 。

　　亦 复 如 是。（译文：都是一样的）

　　shě lì zǐ 。

　　舍 利 子。（译文：舍利子呀）

　　shì zhū fǎ kōng xiāng 。

　　是 诸 法 空 相 。（译文：一切法则都是空的）

　　bù shēng bù miè 。

　　不 生 不 灭。（译文：不生不灭）

　　bù gòu bù jìng 。

　　不 垢 不 净。（译文：不垢不净）

　　bù zēng bù jiǎn 。

　　不 增 不 减 。（译文：不增不减）

　　shì gù kōng zhōng wú sè。

　　是 故 空 中 无 色。（译文：因此空间是没有形相的）

　　wú shòu xiǎng xíng shí 。

　　无 受 想 行 识 。（译文：也没有情欲、意念、行为和心灵）

　　wú yǎn ěr bí shé shēn yì。

　　无 眼 耳 鼻 舌 身 意。（译文：没有眼、耳、鼻、舌、身、意等六根）

　　wú sè shēng xiāng wèi chù fǎ 。

　　无 色 声 香 味 触 法 。（译文：更没有色、声、香、味、触、法等六尘）

　　wú yǎn jiè 。

　　无 眼 界。（译文：没有眼睛所能看到的界限）

　　nǎi zhì wú yì shi jie 。

　　乃 至 无 意 识 界 。（译文：直到没有心灵所能感受的界限）

　　wú wú míng 。

　　无 无 明。（译文：没有不能了解的）

　　yì wú wú míng jìn 。

　　亦 无 无 明 尽 。（译文：也没有不能了解的尽头）

　　nǎi zhì wú lǎo sǐ 。

　　乃 至 无 老 死。（译文：直到没有老和死）

　　yì wú lǎo sǐ jìn 。

　　亦 无 老 死 尽。（译文：也没有老和死的尽头）

　　wú kǔ jí miè dào

　　无 苦 集 灭 道 。（译文：没有痛苦的集合以及修道的幻灭）

　　wú zhì yì wú dé 。

　　无 智 亦 无 得。（译文：不用智慧去强求）

　　yǐ wú suǒ dé gù 。

　　以 无 所 得 故 。（译文：所以得到与否并不重要）

　　pú tí sà duǒ 。

　　菩 提 萨 埵。（译文：菩萨觉悟之后）

　　yī bō rě bō luó mì duō gù 。

　　依 般 若 波 罗 蜜 多 故 。（译文：依照心经）

　　xīn wú guà ài 。

　　心 无 挂 碍。（译文：心中没有碍）

　　wú guà ài gù 。

　　无 挂 碍 故。（译文：由于没有碍）

　　wú yǒu kǒng bù 。

　　无 有 恐 怖。（译文：所以不恐怖）

　　yuǎn lí diān dǎo mèng xiǎng 。

　　远 离 颠 倒 梦 想。（译文：远离颠倒梦想 ）

　　jiū jìng niè pán 。

　　究 竟 涅 槃 。（译文：最后达到彼岸）

　　sān shì zhū fó 。

　　三 世 诸 佛。（译文：过去、现在和未来的三世诸佛）

　　yī bō rě bō luó mì duō gù 。

　　依 般 若 波 罗 蜜 多 故 。（译文：依照心经）

　　dé ā nòu duō luó sān miǎo sān pú tí 。

　　得 阿 耨 多 罗 三 藐 三 菩 提 。（译文：得到无上、正宗、正觉的 三种佛果）

　　gù zhī bō rě bō luó mì duō。

　　故 知 般 若 波 罗 蜜 多。（译文：所以说心经）

　　shì dà shén zhòu 。

　　是 大 神 咒 。（译文：是变幻莫测的咒语）

　　shì dà míng zhòu 。

　　是 大 明 咒。（译文：是神光普照的咒语）

　　shì wú shàng zhòu 。

　　是 无 上 咒。（译文：是无上的咒语）

　　shì wú děng děng zhòu 。

　　是 无 等 等 咒。（译文：是最高的咒语）

　　néng chú yī qiē kǔ 。

　　能 除 一 切 苦。（译文：能除一切苦 ）

　　zhēn shí bù xū 。

　　真 实 不 虚 。（译文：不是骗人的 ）

　　gùshuōbō rě bō luó mì duō zhòu 。

　　故 说 般 若 波 罗 蜜 多 咒。（译文：所以说心经）

　　jí shuō zhòu yuē 。

　　即 说 咒 曰 。（译文：其咒语曰）

　　jiē dì jiē dì 。

　　揭 谛 揭 谛。（译文：去吧，去吧）

　　bō luó jiē dì 。

　　波 罗 揭 谛 。（译文：到彼岸去吧）

　　bō luó sēng jiē dì 。

　　波 罗 僧 揭 谛。（译文：大家快去彼岸）

　　pú tí sà pó hē 。

　　菩 提 萨 婆 诃 。（译文：修成正果）

THE HEART OF PRAJNA PARAMITA SUTRA

般若波罗蜜多心经

     

 

When Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was practicing the profound Prajna Paramita, 

观自在菩萨。行深般若波罗蜜多时,

he illuminated the Five Skandhas and saw that they are all empty,

照见五蕴皆空。

and he crossed beyond all suffering and difficulty.

度一切苦厄。

Shariputra, form does not differ from emptiness;

舍利子，色不异空。

emptiness does not differ from form.

空不异色。

Form itself is emptiness;

色即是空。

emptiness itself is form.

空即是色。

So too are feeling, cognition, formation, and consciousness.

受想行识，亦复如是。

Shariputra, all Dharmas are empty of characteristics.

舍利子，是诸法空相。

They are not produced, not destroyed, 

不生不灭，

not defiled, not pure; 

不垢不净，

and they neither increase nor diminish.

不增不减。

Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, 

是故空中无色，

feeling, cognition, formation, or consciousness;

无受想行识。

no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, or mind;

无眼耳鼻舌身意，

no sights, sounds, smells, tastes, objects of touch, or Dharmas;

无色声香味触法。

no field of the eyes up to and including no field of mind consciousness;

无眼界，乃至无意识界。

and no ignorance or ending of ignorance, 

无无明，亦无无明尽。

up to and including no old age and death 

乃至无老死，

or ending of old age and death. 

亦无老死尽。

There is no suffering, no accumulating, no extinction, and no Way, 

无苦集灭道，

and no understanding and no attaining.

无智亦无得。

Because nothing is attained,

以无所得故，

The Bodhisattva 

菩提萨埵，

through reliance on Prajna Paramita is unimpeded in his mind.

依般若波罗蜜多故，心无罣碍。

Because there is no impediment,

无罣碍故，

he is not afraid,

无有恐怖。

and he leaves distorted dream-thinking far behind.

远离颠倒梦想。

Ultimately Nirvana!

究竟涅盘。

All Buddhas of the three periods of time

三世诸佛，

attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi through reliance on Prajna Paramita.

依般若波罗蜜多故，得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提。

Therefore know that Prajna Paramita is a Great Spiritual Mantra,

故知般若波罗蜜多，是大神咒，

a Great Bright Mantra,

是大明咒，

a Supreme Mantra,

是无上咒，

an Unequalled Mantra.

是无等等咒，

It can remove all suffering;

能除一切苦，

it is genuine and not false.

真实不虚。

That is why the Mantra of Prajna Paramita was spoken.

故说般若波罗蜜多咒，

Recite it like this:

即说咒曰，

Gaté Gaté Paragaté Parasamgaté Bodhi Svaha!

揭谛揭谛。波罗揭谛。波罗僧揭谛。菩提萨婆诃。
